HULC has four clinics conveniently located within St John Urgent Care Centres at Edgewater, Midland, Osborne Park, and Cockburn.
Urgent care centres offer medical treatment for walk-in patients with non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Many upper limb injuries fall into this category.
Urgent care clinics provide patients with acute upper limb injuries the opportunity to be seen by a doctor and quickly referred to a hand therapist, avoiding the long wait typically associated with emergency rooms. All St John urgent care clinics have onsite x-ray, and many have visiting orthopaedic surgeons.
Common injuries treated by hand therapists in urgent care are:
