Appointments - HULC

Call (08) 9334 0777 to make an appointment

To book an appointment with one of our specialist therapists please telephone our main reception telephone number above, or your preferred clinic. Alternatively, click below to book online. We will usually arrange your appointment within 24 hours.

Private patients do not require a referral to see a HULC hand therapist. If you are seeing HULC for a non-workers’ compensation related matter then you can self-refer. However, workers’ compensation patients require a referral from their doctor.

If you need to change your appointment or cancel it, 24 hours notice is required. Full cancellation fees may apply if cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.

Fees for HULC services may be covered by your private health insurer. The amount you receive back from your private health insurance will depend on your fund and level of cover. It is your responsibility to check with your health fund prior to your appointment if you have cover for Occupational Therapy.

Our fees are priced very comparatively. Please phone prior to your appointment if you require an estimation.

All HULC clinics accept payment via credit card, EFTPOS, cash or cheque. Our Claremont, Subiaco, Murdoch, Joondalup, Busselton and Bunbury clinics have a HICAPS machine which allows you to claim your consultation rebate at the time of your appointment.

Please be aware if you have undergone surgery with one of our affiliated surgeons, your therapy and splinting is a separate service and thus will incur a separate charge.

New Patients

At your first appointment our HULC therapist will conduct a thorough assessment, usually involving reviewing your past injury/medical history. If you have any current or old medical reports, X-rays, MRI or CT scans, please bring them along.

Following your assessment, your condition will be explained and a treatment plan with goals recommended. This may include splinting to protect your injury or promote function, and an exercise program to build strength and support. Sometimes patients are sent for further scans to gain a clearer picture of their condition, or referred to a specialist for surgical advice. All HULC therapists work closely with some of Perth’s best hand and upper limb surgeons and, if required, are able to book you an appointment with the most appropriate surgeon or specialist.
